8.13 Adjusting the Co ee Grinder
Warning! Do not pour ground and/or instant cof-
fee into the co ee bean hopper. Do not put any
material other than co ee beans into the hopper. The
co ee grinder contains moving parts that may be danger-
ous. Do not insert  ngers and/or other objects. Turn o
the machine by pressing the ON/OFF button and remove
the plug from the socket before carrying out any type of
operation inside the co ee bean hopper.
The machine allows the co ee grind to be slightly adjusted in or-
der to adapt it to the kind of co ee used. To make any adjustment,
use the lever located on the side of the machine.
Turn the lever by only one notch at a time during the grinding
phase. Brew 2-3 cups of co ee to verify changes in grind.

The reference marks indicate the grind setting. You can set di er-
ent degrees of grind with the following references:
1 - Fine Grind
2 - Coarse Grind
8.14 Adjusting the "Aroma" -
Amount of Ground Co ee
The machine allows the amount of co ee to be ground for prepar-
ing each cup of co ee to be programmed.
Warning! The Aroma adjustment lever must only
be turned when the co ee grinder is stopped. Ad-
justment must be performed before brewing co ee.
To make any adjustment, use the lever located on the side of the
machine.
The reference marks indicate the amount of ground co ee which
has been set. You can set di erent amounts with the following
references:

3 - Minimum co ee amount (about 7 grams)
4 - Maximum co ee amount (about 11 grams)
8.15 Adjusting Brewed Products
The machine allows you to adjust the product length according to
your needs and to the type of cup used.
The product length in the cup or glass can be set by two methods:
1 Numeric method
2 Visual method.
Numeric Method
To set the length with this method, enter the "BEVERAGE
MENU" and program each available beverage using the keypad.
This system requires the user to carry out a subsequent check of
the actual quantity of product brewed in the cup.
The procedure for programming a cappuccino, with detailed op-
erational sequences, is explained as an example.
